What we know, and what we do with it.
We buy cars, we don't trade in data. This page says, in plain English, what information reaches us when you use this site or call us, why we keep it, and how to say no to the parts you can say no to.

What we collect
What you tell us. When you call, email, or send the offer form, we get what you give us: your name, phone number, email, town, and the details of the car you want to sell. We need those to make you an offer and, if you accept, to complete the sale and its paperwork.
How the site is used. This site uses Google Analytics, a common measurement tool, to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It tells us things like which page someone landed on and roughly where visitors come from. It reports in aggregate — we look at page totals, not at you.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (names starting with _ga) so that one person browsing three pages counts as one visitor rather than three. These cookies don't contain your name, phone number, or anything you typed into a form. Beyond analytics, the site keeps one flag in your browser's session storage so the intro animation only plays once — it never leaves your browser.
Google explains how it handles data from sites that use its tools at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How to opt out
- Install Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site, not just ours.
- Block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings — everything here works fine without them.
- Browse with an ad- or tracker-blocking extension. The site is fully functional with analytics blocked.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, we don't rent lists, and we don't share your details with marketers. Your information goes only where the transaction requires it: to our own records, and — when you're completing a sale — to the parties a car sale involves, like your lender for a payoff or the New Jersey MVC for title work.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep transaction records as long as New Jersey law requires us to for completed purchases. If you asked for an offer and never sold to us, ask and we'll delete your inquiry. Email hello@northjerseycarbuyers.com or call (201) 754-4314 and a person will handle it — the same person who would have bought your car.
The short version: we keep what we need to buy your car, we count visits with Google Analytics, we sell nothing about you to anyone, and you can opt out of the counting entirely.
